Thanks so much. We're going thru a tough time right now, but I'm sure we'll come 'round. I just hope having lost our axis around which we all revolved won't cause us to drift apart.

 Cheers, Rusty

Ho Dear Rusty..I am so sorry for your loss.  I know my heart still mourns the passing of my Mom when I lived in CO in 1991. Memories and your faith will sustain you.  I love that in Corinthians it says that God is the God of ALL comfort!  Not just a little comfort but ALL.  I will be praying for you, your Dad and your family during this time of change.

It is His love and grace that saved and sustains me.
In Christ's love,
Joan M

Thanks so much. It is thru God's faithfulness that I find the assurance that Mom is in a much better place. She roused from her semi-coma state that last day to celebrate communion with the 5 of us and said the Lord's Prayer perfectly. What wondrous reassurance that Mom was going up to meet Jesus.

 Cheers, Rusty

Rusty, Know that you are in my thoughts. Time is the only thing that heals this gaping hole. The anniversary of my mom's passing was April 19th. I look back over that year: life just keeps going on. It seems like  it should stand still for at least a moment or two, but it doesn't. As I look into the eyes of my beautiful grand daugthers Mom looks back at me. Take care, Karen C

Thanks, Karen- I also felt like time should stand still. How is that the birds sing and the sun comes up every morning?

I'm so sorry for your loss, Rusty, You are definitely going through trying times right now.  The loss of a parent is one of the most emotional things we have to endure.  It's so very difficult when you have a parent left who needs that extra care.  I'm glad you have sibling to share the burden.  I've been there and done that. Take the time to reflect for yourself and find the joy in your wonderful memories.  Sending a special hug to you today.

Thanks Kathi- I am a writer so I am writing furiously in a journal about Mom; the good, the funny, the not so good. It is helping me put it all into perspective. My aunt came up to me at the funeral and said I was the family author, why didn't I write a book about my mom. It's a thought that's been swirling around in my head...always a good sign, that pre-writing and thinking about the format or sequence of events.

 Cheers, Rusty
