Sooooo......did anybody run a slight temp?
Probably, but keep an eye on it. If it gets any higher, call the office. It's not very high now, so it's probably nothing to worry about, or if you are worried, take some tylenol (do you have liquid tylenol?) I didn't run a temp, but did have a slight infection in an incision (shown by oozing and pus). Rest, relax, don't worry too much until it gets a little higher.
Jill,
CALL YOUR SURGEON!
I too had a slight temp - 99.9. I ended up back in the hospital for 10 days where it rose to 103. It took that long for the team of doctors to figure out I had an infected blood clot.
You may be fine, you may need more fliuds, but let your surgeon make that determination.
If you want to ask me more questions, PM me because I am not getting any OH replies.
Annette
Hey Jill,
I did run a slight temp too....I kept checking it and eventually I found out I had an infection in my neck where they had inserted the vena cava filter. Doc K put me on
high powered antiobiotics for five days, but I actually ended up taking a few more after my PCP looked at it and said it wasn't cleared up yet. They took the filter out five days later...
How are you doing? I worked out in the yard yesterday afternoon - the sun felt so good -- got all the south beds cleaned out. Today my neighbor is coming over to help me transplant some things so I can convert my back north bed to roses.
Call Doc. K is the fever goes over 101.....it's on your instructions.
Hugs,
Pat

Done! Your Ticker:
As you see it is not that unusual, but also not something to mess with. I am sure you have moved on this since it was yesterday. I would have said after being out from under the electric blanket for an hour take temp again and if above normal call the doc.. Hope you are doing well, keep us informed. Blessings
