A new pen for me!

This new pen I decided to try out is cool! I only turn the one part on the lathe... all the other types of pens I make I have to turn the upper and lower parts... so with this new pen I can make 2 pens from a single chunk of wood! This is a wood called Bubinga... and another cool thing is that this one is a button click pen... all the other types I make have been twist pens... I'm a happy guy! Thanks all... had to tell someone!

EDIT - Here's another made out of acrylic... black with yellow streaks and lines running through it...

Hey Marc I need a chunck of Hazel wood that is one year growth....need it for a large knife handle, any clues of where I could get it?

My spiritual beliefs call for that. yes, the pen is very nice.......You do nice work, you could probably contract with some companies and make a good living at it. Places that do Executive gifts and such.....

Hmmm... no luck so far... I have never used Hazel before, although a google search says it is the heartwood from Sweet Gum... I have used Sweet Gum before, made some bowls out of it.. I'll keep checking for you...
