I'm home
Hi all,
Well, you know me...can't do anything half a**ed!!! I'm glad Rhonda gave you the Reader's Digest condensed version, but I'll fill in the blanks. When the doc went in with the scope to remove the gallbladder he found an internal hernia, so had to convert to an open incision. Then he found a part of the small bowel that had twisted and had already started to lose blood flow. Thank God I had this scheduled when I did, no telling how bad it could have been if it had gone much longer. Since he had to remove part of the bowel, he did some rerouting and increased the amount of food I'll be able to absorb. Hopefully I'll have a better time maintaining my weight now. H
Love you all,
Susan
Jeeze, I sure wish my gallbladder surgery went as smoothly as yours, Marc.. But, like I said, if something weird can happen it usually happens to me. This is the second time I've had a surgery where "you're only the 3rd person who's had this" has been said to me. Trust me, I'm no trailblazer!
Anyway, thanks for the kind words. Keep on keeping on!
Susan
