What's New Friday?

Good morning Annette and OFFers! This being my last weekday of freedom before heading back to the rat race, I'm treating myself to a movie, and maybe lunch.  Not sure what I'll see as there are two playing that look interesting/funny!  It depends on what time I reach the movie theatre - will be leaving in about half an hour and still have to get clothes out of the dryer before they wrinkle. Good Morning Annette and everyone.... A quiet day today for me.......yay!!! My work is all caught up and as of noon yesterday I am enjoying my long weekend!! Nothing much planned for the weekend. My GF  Pam and my nephew Todd are coming over Saturday afternoon. Pam is going to do some physical therapy on my nephews neck and back. I think I will make them dinner if they want to stay that long. Todd is also my computer geek and he will be working on my computer. I have a virus of some kind. I am using my laptop now. The temps have been great here but the winds are so gusty I have a hard time sitting out in it. I love to read outside...if the neighborhood kids aren't over!! Going out with friends tonight. I love to dance. It will be a good time!! There is a great band playing tonight. Kyleigh, Amanda and Lucas (grands)all had dental appointments yesterday....no cavaties!!!! I am proud of them!! Time to get going...I need to go to the bank and a couple other quick stops along the way. Have a great weekend everyone......connie d

Hello, everyone!    I was awake early..well early for ME and couldnt go back tp sleep . I stay home today..trouble is, once I start staying home for a few days, its even harder for me to go back out..whats with that??

Paul phoned to let me knwo that there's a cheque waiting for me at the plant but it can wait til tomorrow.

Today I sat and mended six pairs of jeans for JB..the knees and thighs are worn thru and he wants them for working outside..so there I sat, hand stitiching patches..whats wrong with this picture?

JB went outside and not only totally replaced the brakes in my Buick all around, but finally replaced the computer chip and motor for the automatic driver's window..now I can opena nd close it again!

Im trying to NOT get weighed daily..I FEEL better but Im trying not to focus on the numbers alone anymore. Its a gorgeous day out there and Im about to take my ornage and sit outside, eat the inside, give the peels to Zeus who will devour them completely and admire my lilac buds.,..yes, Spring is here!!

Hi Annette, Annie and Aime and others: See, I didn't want to let Annie out of the greeting because I know she's there, looking for a belly rub and purring. Or maybe playing in your yarn. Or getting into a locked room. She and Diva would make good playmates. Does Annie like coffee? Diva loves coffee. This morning, after I got back from my gyne appointment, I made a pot of Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee and treated myself. Yum! Diva had to have some too ... I put some on my finger and let her lick it off. She was getting brushed too, and was purring away. She has such a loud motor for a little girl.  That's my big news for today: the gyne appointment. The annual day of poking and prodding down under. And now gyne doc wants to do some more: an endometrial sampling. Yuck! I've had this done before and it's very painful. At least she's giving me some drugs for it. The last gyne doc just told me to take four Advil an hour before the procedure; then she was late. She's doing this because I had some bleeding March 12 (unexpectedly) and because of my history of obesity. So we need to check to make sure nothing bad is going on inside.  Tried to call the bankruptcy attorney today to see how long I'm in Chap. 13. Didn't get a call back. I'm so worried about the coming weeks. Not enough money and too many bills. That rebate check can't come soon enough.  Will try to call Jill tonight at the GR hospital if I have a chance. Meant to call this afternoon but took a long nap after getting up early this morning for the gyne appt. And yes, I slept through the earthquake. (This is the second quake I've slept through. I slept through a smaller quake when I lived in Montana.) Well, have a good day. I should see if there's anything for me to do at work. So far, there wasn't a single story. I'm looking forward to the weekend with nothing to do bu****ch baseball and read. 

hello all ! sinus' and allergies are kicking my butt! not stuffed yet but my throat is scratchy and my voice is now hoarse.. i made a batch of karen's muffins- yummo!!! we had coffee on the front deck this morning-that was nice! and the daffodils are opening over trinity's grave...roxie doesn't quite understand who trin is/was...so she stands nicely when i take her over there..... michael scrubbed the kitchen floor today and i cleaned the ceiling and fan (yes, i know-the allergies!!!)--he bought me a lottery ticket- i like the bingo scratch offs- i almost won!!!!! 1 number from $100--woulda been nice-oh well- i had fun playing! i really am easy to please! i'm enjoying this gorgeous weather but it's almost too warm in the house- and too early for the ac ($$$) .... don't know much else right now-just trying to stay outta trouble!

Good evening everyone!  Before I could even post I had to let the dogs out.  Oh yeah, talking about spoiled fur kids.  I want to come back as one of my animals too.  I'm fostering a mouthy yappy little 8.5lb schnorkie (schnauzer/yorkie) mix who has the balls and guts of a 150 lb mastiff that is about to take someone down!  This twerp chases poor Angus down the hall biting his butt! Angus is finally having enough and telling this kid to quit it, yet he keeps doing it.  How's that for smarts?  LOL Anyway it is a glorious day here in NW Ohio, high of about 80 whilst I was mowing the grass.  didn't horribly need it but I did it anyway just to keep up with the neighbors!  I'm hoping to do a little flower bed work this weekend if it isn't too wet and cool.  Tomorrow of course is the doggy adoption event and then I read at church.  If I am going to have a small veggie garden this year I have to get at it too.  It appears my lilacs are coming up and leafing out, the hydrangea I planted is coming up, yeah! spring!   Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!  Aime, hope your new friend can help you out! 

HI everybody, It is beautiful here today.  The temp got up to 89!!!!  It has been a very busy week.  Work, work, work!!!  I have been working on a special project at work and it has been a doozy!  You gotta wonder who thinks up this things.  Must be the product of someone having too much time on their hands!  I am sure they make a lot more money than me and I am not sure why!!!  So since I spent so much time doing something totally useless, I have to go in to work sometime over the weekend to do my normal stuff.  Sigh. Bill and I have been out to eat a couple of times this week.  We found a really cute Irish pub about 20 minutes from where we live.  I really enjoyed my crab cakes there last night but because of work we didn't eat until about 9:30.  That is way too late for dinner in my world these days.  Even at goal I find eating out a bit difficult.  I never know what to order so if crabcakes are on the menu I will usually order them.  I always make sure they are not cooked in a lot of butter. Not too much else going on here.  Like I said work is consuming me lately.  Have a great weekend everyone.

Hi Jan and everyone, Well the Mystery Box 1 is in the mail to Pam Woodall, and I worked all day. I got to work and the 1st 10 minutes I got my foot caught in my cords and down I went!!!!! Face first. Hit my right knee and my left elbow. Right in front of 3 clients and 2 co workers. I was stunned to say the least. My co worker wanted to call an ambulance. cause I didnt respont to him for a minute. I came to and was fine. Thankg-d I was finished up with my client!!!!! So I went on with my crazy day. More crazy clients and then the day was gone. Now I am home and tired. I am off for the next 2 days as it is Passover and I am going to go to the Sedar at our Temple here at home then I am driving to Ft Lauderdale to see my cousin and my friend from Denver. If I could I would go out and have a drink but I know what it would to to me!!!!! Hense the Chocolate Martini!!!!!! Carla
