Rough night
Thanks to all *****sponded to my thumb update. I had a rough night between it being the first night without the splint (scared I'd roll over on it) and a bad cold, I was miserable. Got up around 2 and went downstairs for a pain pill and cold med. I can't wait to get the rest of the stitches out. It will be so much easier to bend with them out. I'm sure boredom is playing a major part in how I feel. If I could only do something productive like clear up some of the clutter around the house. I hate sitting around doing nothing. I could get in the car and go, but I don't NEED anything and I'm not much of a shopper anyway. I could cook something, but we have refrigerator overload as it is, and we won't be home this weekend. We'll be stashing a couple of meals in the freezer tomorrow night. Speaking of not being home, I wish George would give in and cancel this weekend. I'm not as excited about our get away as I was when we first planned it back in Dec. I still want to go to the French Quarter Fest., but I'm not enthused about spending two nights in a hotel with these stupid stitches still in.
Yesterday when I was watching TV, it all of a sudden went pop and no picture, no VCR, nothing. I called a neighbor and asked if hers went out, she has direct TV, we have cable, so she couldn't say if it was cable or not. I called the cable company, no outages in our area. Crapolla, our one and only TV fizzled out. OK, I will not stay home with no TV. True, there's not much on that's good during the day, but it is background noise. I called our son *****cently moved out and told him to return the TV he took ASAP. Sorry son your room mate has an extra you can use. I NEED the TV. He brought it over last night and hooked it up for me. We will go TV shopping soon and let him have this one back.
Tomorrow I have an early GYN appt and plan to hit the grocery on the way home. May even stop at Starbucks and treat myself!
OK, I'll go make my lunch - salad and add lots of cheese to go along with this WHINE! Now that I've complained and moaned, I do feel better Thanks OFF family for giving me a place to vent! Bear with me, I'll be back at work in a week!
Luv ya,
Debbie
Thanks Boo! Feeling sorry for myself is not a good place to be.
Why are you not eating. Didn't I read you were having tummy trouble after the P'burgh trip. Still having trouble? Hope you feel better soon. I need to get my butt downstairs and eat something. Haven't had anything but two shakes so far today and it's after 1:30. Gonna go get that salad with cheese!
Deb
Well,
At least you are getting the cold over with while you are recouperating! That's better than getting all better with the thumb and then getting down with a cold. I'm glad you have something that helps and if soaking it helps then do the soaking. Maybe you can call the elderly neighbor and have a good visit over the phone?
Take care of yourself and don't overdo it.
Hugs,
Kathi
