What's New-Wednesday!
Good Morning Aime and All,
I'm beginning to feel a bit of a stranger here and it's my fault. Not taking the time to start my day here and not getting back to it. Just busy, busy, busy. Finally got the excavation started at our lot yesterday. Yay! A big hole is now dug so we can finally get to watch the process. Hope it isn't another week or two before they start the foundation.
Babies, according to Erin, are running the household: eating, pooping, peeing, and sleeping. That's what they're supposed to be doing. Plus they are gaining and Hannah is doing well with her eating/breathing issues. Mike and I will hold off for about another week and then head over. Grandpa Mike is so eager to get his hands on those little girls and I can't wait to see them again also.
Yesterday we continued the "decluttering". Worked on three bookshelves removing and packing about 1/2 of the contents of each and taking to storage. Still have a lot to do before the end of the month when the house will be listed: Washing outside and touching up paint, cleaning carpets and getting the inside spiffy, rearranging furniture and pictures and the lord only knows what else the "house stager" will have in mind when she returns for a final run through in a week or two. I know it will all be worth it, but not a whole lot of fun. All we've earned out of this are sore backs and aching bodies!
Today is TOPS day. I haven't been in a couple of weeks. Looking forward to seeing my friends there and having a few hours away from this mess.
Puppies are doing great. They have a plastic swimming pool in the middle of our living room. It's lined with puppie "wee wee pads" which they use consistently in the pool and not so well when they are out and about in the family room. That's why I'll wait to shampoo carpets until they are gone. They are starting to eat what I call "gruel", mushed up puppy food and water and they will slurp at goat's milk. Not too interested in plain water yet. No teeth yet so I think we'll have them for another 2-3 weeks. We have more than enough to do around here, but I'll sure miss them.
Really must get in gear. Know that I'm thinking about you all even when I don't find time to post. I DO manage to stop in and read to stay current on your lives. I enjoyed reading about the Pittsburgh gathering and am so happy so many of you were able to get together. Making memories is a good thing at any time in our lives. Hugs, Karen C

Good morning to you Aime and all. I am glad to be here on this soon to be afternoon. They are fixing my bathroom ceiling this morning and still at it. I called them and told them that there is water damage on the ceiling and they found out that the nut upstairs doesn't take a shower using the curtain all the way closed. I told them this morning when he came to sand the ceiling that I was concerned about mold. He called Gene to come and look at it and now they are doing major work. Gene put his finger on a soft spot and it went through. Now they have a big fan drying out the wood and they fixed the toilet upstairs too because they saw it dripping when the peice was taken out of the ceiling. I tried to tell the other one the other day that it was his toilet too because the leak is by mine. These apartments are the same so that is where his is upstairs too. I am mentioning again about the mold and I told them that with this bad heart problem mold is a no no here. Like it isn't anywhere else! This place can be so cheap but they sure aren't on the rent. I am staying home today because I am just not in the mood to go anywhere and with this stuff going on it is easier. Misty is no where to be seen since there are people coming and going. She runs as soon as she hears someone knocking or anything. She stays under the bed. I got her out a while ago and she ventured out into the hall but then belined it right back under the bed. She hates upheaval of any kind. I hope that everyone has a good day today. I am remembering all who need them in my prayers. I remember even those who don't say they need them. I figure God knows what people need so I am handing it to him. I hope that everyone has a wonderful and positive day doing what they need to do. I am sending love and big hugs to all of you.
Hi everyone, Aime, I am so happy for you and your "friend". That is sooooo exciting. I hope he is great because you deserve only the very best!!!! Kathy, I had the shots in the hospital and they didn't hurt or leave bruises. It was just a precaution that my doctor always takes. Your time is getting closer! Had a very busy day at work today. The day flew by but I still have lots and lots of work sitting there waiting for me tomorrow. Just not enough hours in a day. Tomorrow night I want to go thru all the great buys I found at Macy's in Pittsburgh. I bought enough stuff for six people. So enough stuff for five have to go back to the store. I had fun buying all the stuff but trying it on and making decisions is not so much fun. Macy's in Pittsburgh had some really amazing low sale prices if anyone out there needs clothes. I got a beautiful Evan Picone black dress that was regularly $120.00 for 15.00 and lots of other equally good buys. Have a great evening! Jan
