Time to get up and start another day! This week seems to be flying by. I can't believe it is hump day already. I am ready for the weeks end however. I want some time to just sit in my home and relax. I have to cut my grass again. It seems to just grow and grow. No one else in the neighborhood has grass growing like mine. I've already cut it once.  I had a nice evening with my "friend" last night. We have great conversations. He is also pretty good as a hugger and a good kisser. I think we may be looking to try for a more permanent type relationship. We havne't exactly stated that yet, but we talked about what we want. Seems we want the same. The best thing is that respect is number one for both of us.  I have an appointment with my PCP today. He has been giving me grief about coming in to see him. I decided to make the appointment. After so many years of constantly being in doctor's offices, I just don't want to waste my time in one if I am feeling great. I will mention my issues with my back.  I hope everyone has a fantastic day!

Good morning Aime, Ouur grass is still brown with a muddy sog underneath. Respect is vital in relationships. Sounds like your friend is a good man. and a lucky one to find YOU! Tom went to the first golf meeting of the season. They have a huge fish fry every Friday night. The owner said she wasn't putting it on because the waitress had a family issues. Tom volunteered MY services as their waitress for the evening.I waited tables in my uncle's restaurant after my divorce but that was decades ago. The physical part will be no problem but the mental part of remembering orders etc might be a huge challenge. What was he thinking? I know all the people, they are a close knit, family type gathering. Nobody will give me a hard time or be demanding so this might be fun. Talk about getting out of the box - I am definately OUTED now.  Annie is such a character that I fail to talk about the other furbarats. The others have unique and quirky personalities too. Tony is the baby of the family. Not just the youngest but babyish in his antics. He has a 4 inch teddy bear which is his constant companion. He tosses it in the air, catches it and thoroughly loves his teddy. Some how teddy got mixed in with the laundry. Tony whined as he searched the house. When it came out of the dryer, Tony took teddy in his mouth and ran through the house. He kept returning to me, meowing until I commented that I saw him and teddy. Kisses Annette

Hi Annette, Sounds like you are going to have a bit of fun on Friday and I love hearing your furbrat stories and Tony sounds like a little cutie!  Did you ever figure out how Annie got into the other room and cabinet?   Hugs, Laureen

Hi roomie, Tom had been rearranging furniture and I'm positive he left the door open. Although he says he didn't. Annie is good but not that good. Tony is my little cutie. He is also the reason I get up so early. He wakes me up with kisses. Friday night will be a different experience for certain. The club house is a couple of miles from home, I often go there to see Tom after he's been golfing and I know most of the golfers. They will go easy on me. Tom better not get any wild ideas about offering my services too often though or he will be holding his golf club in a most unusual spot.

You really made me laugh at that one, the place where Tom will be holding his golf club that is!  BTW, perhaps try using a small note pad and number each table (if there are more then one), it will help at least with the order part, remember whose is whose, well I have faith you can do it! Hugs, Laureen P.S.  I miss you roomie ;)

Good Morning Aime and Everyone, Nice to see you having some wonderful days with your new friend.  It's also nice to see spring coming your way as well.  Sure sign of that with the grass growing. Good Day/Bad Day yesterday for me.  Visit at the surgeon's office started badly.  Only lost 1 pound of the 10 she wanted me to lose.  Good news was I lost 4 inches off my hips and 1 inch off my waist.  It seems the 39 pounds I had lost before seeing her the first time doesn't really count for anything.  She still wants more weight loss.  Why would I need the surgeon if I could lose weight on my own?  Oh well, it is what it is.  Good news is all my tests that are back are good except my gall bladder is full of stones. She will remove that at the time of surgery.  Hooray for that as I don't want to worry about having to face another surgery with gall bladder down the road.  The only other bad news from the tests is my protein level seems to be low.  She commented it will be difficult for me after surgery because of the difficulty then to absorb protein.  She did say I could still have the surgery.  It surprised me to hear low protein because I've been eating high protein for quite a while now. Anyway, I have to re-think my pre-surgery diet and figure out what to do to lose the weight she wants lost.  It is what it is and I have to attend the hospital's required nutrition class and the Patient Education Class.  I have to bring hubby to that class so he is educated on what I have to do post surgery as well.  Apparently there are shots to prevent blood clots that need to be taken twice a day for two weeks after surgery.  Self injected into the stomach.  YUK!  They are going to make 5 holes in my stomach area and I still have to inject and cause more bruising?  Yeah, alright. So...  that was my day.  I wait for the final approval from the insurance and then they schedule a date.  Probably looking at the end of May.    There may be light at the end of my tunnel.  Back to dieting for me.  I'm going to look at joining the gym as well.  Walking and exercises at home helped me lose inches but not pounds. Have a good day, Kathi

Looks like a good time to pack in a couple of those good old low sugar high protein drinks.  I like Fuzzy Navel Nectar with orange Crystal Light.  90 calories, 23 grams of protein.  Are you using fit-day to track your food intake and keep up with your protein, fats, carbs, calories? Janet

Thanks, Janet, I've been using protein shakes all along.  I have some samples of the Nectars here.  I'll try them.  Surgeon thought that was why I hadn't lost weight but I told her I was careful to keep the calories in the protein shake on the low side.  I track the calories and protein on a program similar to FitDay.  I come in between 1200-1400 everyday and the protein has always been around 80 or higher.  I don't think I've been getting enough fats in so I'm going to do the fats with salad dressing and see if it helps.  The carbs have always been in the veggies and the protein shakes. Hi Kathi, I'm sorry things didn't go a bit better for you. Geeze, I think the inches should certainly count! I used to do the chocolate protein shakes with milk, can't do jus****er, gag me. But, anyway, I started just wanting to upchuck those so tried the fuzzy navel nectar with water, yuck, then milk and I love that. I have one every morning and fix it in my bullet and take to work. It gets foamy so by the time I am at my desk it is perfect. Anywho, I like the fuzzy navel kind. You keep hanging in there! You are doing really great! Cheryl
