Welcome home Eileen! Sounds like you had a really nice time, even though your last cruise was on a better cruise line.  I've always wanted to go to the Mayan ruins, but because of my weight and inability to walk, be on my feet too long, I never thought I'd be able to do it, now thanks to WLS I think it is in my future.  Thanks for sharing with us about your experiences and I know my first day back to work yesterday was tough, but being going home and seeing and being greeted by my "furbrat" was nice!  Vacations are nice, but there is no place like home! Hugs, Laureen

You know, Laureen, six years ago, when I was 300 pounds, I know I couldn't do those Mayan ruins or the 600 feet up Dunn's River Falls. I did both (didn't say I didn't hurt afterward, but I did them). And the funny thing is, I recovered fairly well (two Vicodin after Dunn's River Falls, a day of vegging after the Mayan ruins and a vicodin). And my knee actually felt not so bad when I got home. Not really sore. It was more stiff from sitting on the plane than anything. The weight loss has freed me to do so much more than I ever imagined with my life. Yes, I still used my cane, but it was mostly to give me added support.  So next time, Laureen, you can do the Mayan ruins ... maybe we can do them together. I didn't get enough time seeing them ... I want to see Chichen Itza next.

Welcome Back !!! Sounds like a fantastic trip. I thought Disney was a much better cruise than Carnival, but getting away to interesting places is always fun.. You were missed

Hi Eileen, Glad you got home safely.  I agree that Carnival isn't the best cruise line but I always enjoy a cruise.  I can laze around and read and be perfectly content.  It was good to see you and meet your brother in Galveston.  Sorry you were unable to meet with Kathy.  I hope to see her next week at the beach. It is always fun to take vacations but good to get back home too.  So once again welcome home.
