I am 6 months old today....
CONGRATULATIONS BRENDA AND DITTO!!!!!!! I wake up everyday and thank God for the opportunity to live again. I'm like you and not perfectly healthy and never will be, but I'm alive and I doubt very much if that would be the case in a few years if I hadn't had this surgery. I love getting up every morning after at least five hours straight sleep. The past few years about one hour sleep at a time because of my back and neck; I still need surgery on them, but I'm alive. I would walk the floors and my grandchildren would come at 6:00 a.m. and I would pray for God to just help me be there for them and get through the day; NO MORE. I can walk with my grandkids on the bike path at the park and actually not fall down and can throw rocks in the pond! I can walk in the yard with my dogs and sit in the lawn chairs without danger of them collapsing and I'm able to get out of them. I'm not running, jumping, skipping or hopping, but I AM ALIVE. One of the teens at my church had been gone for four months and came home and saw my DH put his arm around a thin woman and she was mad as a hornet, because she thought he had dumped me and was moving on. She didn't recognize me!!!! May God continue to smile on you as you continue your weight-loss journey.
Please write again at you one year anniversary!!

Nancy, thank you so much for posting to my thread. You also have quite a story and I am so impressed with it. We have come a long way and I am thankful to God for sending this gift to me. It was not a gift that was handed to me but one I had to work toward and I think that those mean the most to us since we have to work for them we don't take them for granted as easily. I hope to hear more from you and again thanks and I send you my love and hugs.
