Anyone here on the over 50 forum a lapbander?
Welcome. it is good to have another OFFer in here. There are a couple of LB people but for the life of me, I can't remember who it may be. We play well together so join right in.
I lead a lap-band support group as well as a RNY. At first I felt a tiny bit nervous being the only RNYer and trying to lead their group. They crowned me "The Slice and Dicer" and I feel like one of their own. My hubby says I have the most fun with them and look forward to the meetings. I say its because the surgeon puts 'Happy Juice" in their fills and they have a better time.
Kisses

Hi, I'm not a bander yet, but soon will be, April 15th. I'm getting nervous. Tomorrow I go for my nutrition class and to the hospital for pre-surgery testing. It's finally getting real.
There are a few others here who have had a lap band, but the Rny's here are really nice. They don't look at what kind of surgery you had. They support you whatever, even if you haven't had anything. It took over a year for my approval.
Sooooo......... welcome to Over 50.

For those of you that have insurance--be grateful!! I just decided that since I have been trading my car eery couple of years and thought nothing of spending 18,000 plus...why not on myself and my bod!!! RNY would have been $33,000 without insurance!!! For those of you that are lapbanders on here...come check out the lapband forum sometime!! It is fun, too....and infomative!
