for our Debbie G
Thanks Debbie! mine is just a laparoscopic check in the belly to see if they can see what is causing this pain I get sometimes. Margo was with me for one of the attacks and I think that has been just about a year ago! I know it has been going on for some time. Just not all the time, in fact lately haven't had any major ones at all. go figure.
Good luck to you too! Hope that thumb feels better soon!

Debbie what was your attack like. I had something I can't explain last night. I ate around 6:00 pm went to chorale practice came home and was feeling fine. In fact I was telling everyone I was feeling better than I had felt in a long time. Around 10:00 I went to bed and shortly afterwar got an unusual pain that is hard to discribe. It was a sort of burning dull pain. I just laid still hoping it would go away. It didn't. I sat on the side of the bed hoping movement would settle it down. Didn't.
Of course When nothing else works you go to the bathroom. As I got there I got an overwhelming sense of nausea. I thought I was going to throw up but that passed quickly. I then felt very weak, hot, and clamy.
When I threw my clot I felt similar only no pain. I called my cardio Dr. and spoke to his nurse. She seemed to think it sounded more like a gastric problem even though I had eaten four hours before. She was going to check with the Dr. and call me back but I have not heard. Guess they thought I was ok. I'll call them in the morning to make sure.
Hope you get answers to your problem and I will be thinking of you and sending up a prayer for you.
Linda, I had pain way up high in the abdomen, under the lower ribs even, burning, hurt to breath type thing. pretty severe even. I almost called 911 one night but it did pass. lasted maybe 10-15 minutes at a time, with some nausea and the next day or so I was bloated feeling and just felt off. Not hungry, but not nauseous either.
Good news from scope actually. Dr found adhesions and freed them up and a small internal hernia! You just don't know what to wish for in these cases, to find something or to not find something!
Thanks for the well wishes!

Debbie
I am glad there was a definite answer to your problem. Now you can heal and get on with enjoying your life. I am finally begining to feel like myself. Even though I still have the DVT the edema is under control and I can be active. My dh and I are walking everynight and doing things on the weekend. After all isn't that why we went through this surgery to begin with? I hope you have a grand time with the ladies this week-end. Give everyone my best.
