Sorta Newbie
Hi, I'm Marti P, from San Jose. I wandered in here a few weeks ago. It never occurred to me to post an introduction until I saw one posted earlier today. I am scheduled to have lapband surgery June 23rd so I am just hanging out til then. I am on disability. In my previous life I used to run a personal chef business, a food and nutrition center for the poor and in the way back I was an "Executive Babysitter" for a company in the semiconductor field. I am divorced, have three sons and in my spare time take care of two rose gardens. Can't wait til the temperatures climb a little higher!

It's so good to meet you! Feel free to post here anytime. I'm Julia and I live in Manteca, CA and work in Tracy, CA, so I know San Jose well. In fact, a couple of years ago I spent a week in one of your hotels to attend a mentorship at the Michelle Winner Social Thinking Clinic. I have fond memories of your shopping centers! You must be thrilled to be getting so close to your surgery date! You are close enough to meet some of us in Tracy for a support get-together if you would like that. It's good you chimed in and introduced yourself! I have to ask about the Executive Babysitter job. LOL I know what I think it is but do share.... LOL I love to cook and would think the personal chef business would be fun but alot of work! YIkes....

I "babysat" a lively marketing vice-president of a semiconductor company who kept me very busy until he left the company to head up a company in France. My personal chef business only lasted two years and that's how I ended up on disability, it was hard moving moving cooking equipment, plus shopping for groceries into my vehicle, to the client's home and then back home.
