I think it may be safe to get excited again now?

Most of you know the ups and downs I have been through with the medical clearances. I was so devastated by the cardiology clearance problem that I came extremely close to just FORGETTING THE WHOLE THING. Thanks to all of you sweet peas, I pulled myself together and got through it (nothing was wrong with my heart afterall). Tomorrow I see that DR for the final clearance letter . I finally feel like I can breathe again and feel excited about the WLS journey again. I also finally told my neighbor/friend and she is really happy and excited for me. I have been avoiding telling anyone my plans for fear of negative reactions. She is even going to take me and/or pick me up (WLS Surgery) and is taking me for the endoscopy next week. I will also have to rely on her and some other neighbors for various things until I am able to drive, etc. It has been hard to see others come and go on the Barix board ... I felt like ALWAYS A BRIDESMAID ... NEVER THE BRIDE! But I think I will be getting my "white gown" within 4-6 weeks! Then Connie d can come over for some bowel prep ****tails with me! haha

Susan, Congratulations on your patience, your intestinal fortitude, and "Never Give Up attitude!!  I have been through a long process and now have to wait until June 23rd for my surgery.  May your stick-to-it-tive-ness carry you far! Marti in San Jose

Hi Marti

Congratulations to you also for "hanging in there"! Sorry to hear you have been through "a long process" also. It can be disheartening for sure. I am sorry to hear you have to wait until June 23rd. I am afraid I may have to put it off until June myself. My Nephew's wedding is May 31st and I have to be able to drive to the wedding. So unless they can work me in within the next 4 or 5 weeks I will have to wait until early June. I am NOT MISSING THE WEDDING!

Oh Susan! I am so happy for you. You have been so patient. Believe it or not this having to walk the walk, ups and downs, is such good preparation for the journey ahead. You'll be so thankful to get to the "post" surgery part that you'll do great. Congratulations.  Can I be a bridesmaid, huh, huh, pretty please????? I'll even throw rose petals! Karen C

Congratulations. It can be such a battle to get eveything done and cleared and then approved. It will be worth it in the long run. Keep on with your journey and I hope you get the surgery done before the wedding. Diana

HI Susan, Good for you to keep your determination going!  It's tough for me as well as I wait but wait I will. It's exciting to follow everyone's journey.

You're gonna be the "bride" before you know it.  You're going to look wonderful in your gown!

Hugs,

Kathi

Susan, I am so happy that you are finally getting closer to this here Loser's Bench, each day we are making more room, so there's a spot waiting just for you when you get here!  Looking forward to the post that says, "I've got a date"!  Keep those positive thoughts and you will be singing those words from the rooftops soon! Best wishes for a date soon, Laureen
