Good Morning Friends! It's a bright sunny, albeit, cold day here in NYC this morning and I'm really in the vacation mode of things this week, which means that technecically speaking I'm here at work, but the mind is not! I have a boatload of things to do before Friday and my daughter told me not to worry about clothes, that we'll go shopping when I get there, as I didn't get too far with my shopping expedition on Saturday, and I will have to bring clothing for two climates anyway, since from Florida I will be traveling to Pittsburgh to meet up with "baker's dozen" or are we more than that now?  I'm so looking forward to seeing my daughters, lounging on the beach for a few days and then meeting up with my OFF sisters in Pittsburgh and before I leave on Friday, my son is flying in from Germany, just for the weekend so he can look at some shore property, as he wants to buy something there while the interest rates are so low, so we've decided that I'll drive to the airport to meet him for a little while before I take off and he'll take my car and before he leaves on Monday, he'll drop it off at my house. Anyway, nothing else is going on at the moment and that's just fine with me!

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . .  It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . .  Laureen

Good morning Ann  It sure is cold down here this morning.  However, the yellowbells are beautiful and the trees are budding.  I just hope the frost does not get them.  I am at work and after work...going to get my white roots covered up, cut and styled.  Such a treat.  I love shoes too!!!  I have shoe bags on every door full and boxes in the closet and other places.    Prior to WLS, I had 3 pair of shoes.  My feet hurt so badly and I could only wear a man's pair of tennis shoes, my merrells and I had a pair of black flats to wear dress-up.  Now...I have gone crazy with shoes.  I love them.  You have a great great day.

Hi Annette and Everyone! Had to chime in and talk about my shoe fettish as well.  Love shoes.  Shoes have always been a favorite of mine.  I don't get to shop for great shoes anymore after a broken ankle many years ago.  Oh well.  I did need new shoes and did that on Saturday.  I still have to wear "careful" shoes but look forward to one day getting to wear stylish shoes. I seem to have misplaced my cell phone.  Got to work this morning and found it was not in my puse where it's supposed to be.  Hope it's not an omen to the day but time will tell.  It'll be interesting when hubby tries to call and hears the phone ring somewhere at home.  That'll confuse him for sure.  LOL Take care and have a great Tuesday! SHOES SHOES SHOES......I decided I only wear about 5-6 pairs of shoes for each season......and I got rid of all the rest.....makes my life simpler....one side of my closet has winter and one side of mycloset has summer.....I always thought I would wear them...but when push came to wear....I got rid of them....more power to you for storing all those shoes..Love, Marti.

Annie decided to get the house in an uproar. She was sitting ever so quietly on my lap when she noticed somebody in the basket atop my curio cabinet. The furbrat considers that particular basket, the window hammock and my lap to be her own personal property. She must be PMSing and not content to shoo them away. No, not Annie. She had to chase through the house as she screamed and yelled. Every cat in here had to join in the ruckus. Oh my goodness, they made a mess. It is quiet once again but is she in the basket? Of course not. She decided to perch in her hammock to guard the basket and my lap. Tevia, are you certain you want this woman in your life?? Well meaning friends can be a pain. My friend asked if I was finally ready to stop losing weight. My response was " ". Their reply "You are too thin. This WLS is going to kill you". Whoa, hang on a minute buddy, you are way outta line. I think I need to have cards printed with the dangers of being Super Morbidly Obese and pass them out to the nay sayers. And carry a baseball bat to bop them over the head.  We had a clothing exchange at the support meeting last night. One bag was filled with size small petite. Everyone passed that by, not interested YET. That was my good fortune. There was one pair of pants and a nice assortment of tops and sweaters. I hit the jackpot.  Kisses Annette

Hi All, just a quick drive by on my way out the door to my gallbladder ultrasound/appt w/ doc.  I might know more tonight when I get home from work. Went shopping yesterday, found a couple of cute tops for $5 each....WOW.  Shoes?  Yep, my feet have shrunk too, I also hate giving away expensive shoes, but if they're too big, what else is there to do? Gotta run,  hope everyone has a wonderful day. It's gonna be beautiful here

Susan

Hi Connie, how did Nic do in NY?. Morgans treatment has been put on hold as she developed antibodies to the antigen(sp). Hopefully it will only be a month or two. They were told to expect this. As long as her biopsies come back clean it is a good sign. If they don't chemo will have to start again. The waiting & not knowing is the hardest. So far she is doing great, full of energy & a good appitite. Please keep us informed & Nic is still in my prayers. Nan
