Thanks for the belly laugh......that felt good!! You know what? My butt isn't bodacious any more!! I just realized that when I took a hand mirror and looked at it....it's actually kinda OK. Another wow!! Who'd a thunk!!'

I had to think about all the mini wow monents and how they add up. So here are mine. Fitting into a booth at the local resturant and having room to breath  and then get out.  Buying a size 22 to which is down a heck of a lot from size 7X Being under 230 on the scale frm 388 Having my sister-in-law call just to tell me how great I look and that she sure thought I have lost a lot of weight Having to buy a size 42 B bra insetad of size 54 D Having my son tell a friend they should really visit me so they could see how different I look now as compared to before WLS My best girl friend telling me every time that she sees me that I'm disappering or shrinking. Learning to live with all this lose skin, maybe not such a good wow, but diffentaly wow  Being finally able  eat dinner with my family at Easter without being sick. Seeing I have cheek bones like  my Mother's and finally seeing who I look more like in the family because I am closer to a normal size Having a close friend tell me I look beautiful and being able to believe it Not needing the seat belt extension in the car for months now. Having all kinds of room between my stomach and the steering wheel Finding out I don't really miss eating like I was afraid I would Not throwing up every time I eat anymore Finding out I don't like sweets any more Not missing eating bread, pata or carbs Being able to get around better with out as much pain or difficulty Feeling small even if I'm not really tiny yet. Having people notice me and not because it's because I'm so fat Well that's alot for now. That's pretty good for someone who was so afraid WLS might not work very well for myself for some insane reason  HUGS, Sue

Aloha and good morning Sue.....Oh, my I just got up and started reading the Wows from my sisters from yesterday and there was YOURS! What a start to my day! Your wows are FABULOUS!!

You have lost a good sized person, Sue! I always like that image......because you are no longer carrying around a whole person on your back! The freedom that gives you is priceless.

I'm SO GLAD that your nausea issues have resolved...that is an awful feeling.

I, too, am blessed by NOT having a raging hunger, and I'm easily satisfied with a small amount of food. My "honeymoon period" seems to be lasting longer than was predicted, and for that I am very thankful.

Thanks for sharing your excellent WOWS...you WILL inspire many.

Aloha Judy....and oh yes, my friend...you have had some incredible wow moments to share, and I love them! Isn't it funny how family sometimes doesn't give us the kudos that strangers or acquaintances do. My brother saw me last May when I'd lost around 100 lbs. and didn't say ONE WORD!

Keep soaking up those words of praise, and thanks for sharing.

Aloha nui loa,

Hello, my dear sister Karen. I have enjoyed reading everyones wow moments. I always wanted to write them down but kept forgetting to do so. Now I am afraid that I can't remember all of them since I forget more than I remember. Here goes on some of my good one. Getting through the turnstyle at Menards without going in sideways Weighing less than my drivers license says I do People telling me I am disappearing before their eyes (that is going to be the day!) Scott at church who calls me "Skinny Brenda" now Getting a pair of slacks in a size 8-10 (I still think they run big but I am running with them anyway!) Looking in the mirror one morning and seeing I have a normal face and not a round one Ccrossing my legs and my legs hang down like normal womens Going into the clothes department and being able to not go into the womens department Loving myself and knowing that I am a alright woman!!!! This is my favorite one! Thanks for posting this question. I think we all need to look at our wow moments in black and white and not just in thought. We can't afford to forget all of them. I love you my sweet and kind sister.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Aloha dear sister........OH, you make me feel so warm and loved this morning....THANK YOU !

I LOVE your wow moments!! Especially your favorite one of loving yourself and knowing that you are all right!! You are indeed! The crossing the legs was a major wow for me, too. It came as a surprise one day and it was another one of those 'GRINNING INSIDE' moments that no one but me knows is happening.

Me too on loving to see the wows in black and white. I'm always reminded of something I forget by my sisters and brothers and that makes MY day and hopefully others as well.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing...and for your beautiful words.

Aloha nui loa,

Maui Karen
