HI Jean, I have to ask about Phillip and the "All My Children" connection?  I used to watch all the time.  Loved the early years.  Phil, Tara, and Erica were seniors in high school when I was a senior in high school.  I wanted my daughter to be Erica but she ended up being Andrea.  I like the name Jody! Hi, I just got home from work. We wernt busy today.  I guess the snowbirds are going home pretty soon and dont need their hair cut!!!!! Nothing else going on here. Carla

it's me- i'm back--went to the DAR dinner tonite- glad i went but wow--walked into this room full of card tables covered with white cloths and a begonia in the center- each place setting had a package of yellow "peeps"  and silverware and napkin,a bowl of applesauce  , and a coffee cup with saucer--ok- so dinner gets served- it's on a clear salad size -well small dinner size- plate - it's a piece of lettuce with 5 red grapes - that was mine- and a piece of wheat bread that has been cut on the diagonal-on top of the bread is beef (like pot roast) and gravy and a scoop of mashed taters in the  center--thank goodness i just finished my 5 dpt so i was full- NOT!!!! dessert was a piece of cheesecake with choc syrup drizzled over the top--coffee was watered down and this cost 8 bucks!! ouch--but the ambiance of all the lil grey haired ladies was wunnerful!!!  the program that was scheduled sounded interesting to me and she cancelled- someone else was scheduled and she cancelled so someone from Nat'l DAR came--she was interesting--but sick - coughing and i was in the line of fire...she was very interesting tho and these gals needed to hear what she was saying!!!! there were 18 of us there- and there are only 40 members in "our" chapter-i say that in "" cuz i am not yet a member! there was a heated discussion about something and i finally HAD to put in my 2 cents-prefacing with the fact that i know i am not a member so i should keep my mouth shut--but doggone it! so anyhow- i got a quick tour of the house-very pretty- beautiful antiques...i've seen much better--i grew up with alot of that kind of stuff... will i go back? you betcha! it felt good.... they were nice ppl and i believe in what they are doing...tho they need new blood -marie ( who is helping me with my application) is a new member (tonite!) and she and i are two of the  only four ppl under 60 in the group--- and i shaved my legs for this!!!! (does anyone remember that country song-deena carter??in the 90's)...allllllllllllllllmost wore a skirt -decided it was still winter!!! had makeup on--realized i haven't put makeup on since maybe thanksgiving at work--hmm...curled my hair--almost looked like a girly girl...whoa!!! soooooooooooo michael; wasn't real thrilled that it was after 930 when i got home but they did give me a tour of the house!and roxie the velcro dog missed me!!!!!!!! nothing else really to say tonite...cannot wait for pittsburgh........ michael just went to bed,,,i'm not quite ready yet......maybe i'll go knit for awhile!
