What's New ~ Monday

Good Morning all, First Easter with no kids. Kinda weird. Went to 7am service...then mostly laid around all day. Went to dinner with sister, BIL and parents. Got some stuff together to take to work for my desk. Weight is still stuck...no change in a MONTH! What's up with that!!?? Gonna go do the treadmill here in a sec. I see the week stretching long in front of me...hope I pick up more this week figuring out what's what. Weather is rainy, windy and cold. As you see I don't have too much new and exciting. Kinda nice though. Daughter called last night and she got her summer job at church camp. Yay! Found out the bank we moved all our banking to so we could get Federal Student Loans is no longer doing them...so have to figure out where we will get her loans now for school. Guess it's happening all over the U.S. Ok, now I'm just stalling to go up and workout... I always feel so much better and awake when I do....so here I go. hey cheryl i just noticed that we share the same surgery date only a year apart...lol anyhow as for the stall in your weight loss....your body it trying to catch up with what is happening....it will start up again soon....i have always had major stalls and i do not for the life of me know how i lost 136 pounds....LOL hang in there and it will drop again over night!!!

Hey Judy! You are right I never noticed that before! Yep, I know but it still worries me, I have had two week slow downs but nothing like this yet. Hopefully, it will drop again, but if it doesn't I am happy to stay here and not go up at least! Thanks for the encouragement. Take Care, Cheryl

Good morning to all my friends, Yesterday was very quiet. Gary helped me clean house before the kids came over for lunch, so the only thing I have to do around here today is finish the laundry. It's going to be a beautiful day, so I'm getting out and about. Have some things to return to Dillard's and Bed, Bath and Beyond.  Might try to find some new sandals since the weather is warming up here. None of my shoes fit anymore, I've gone from a 9 wide to a 71/2 narrow!!!  That just happened in the last 10lbs, so maybe that weight was all in my feet Going for the first round of gallbladder testing tomorrow, an ultrasound, and a follow up with the doc. We'll see what's up, but in the mean time I'm still going forth with my plastics on the 9th.  I've canceled that surgery twice, and will do my best not to cancel again. It's not under general anesthetic, so if I have to have the gallbladder removed, maybe they will do it so I can just extend my time off and not take time off a second time. We'll see. Good morning Joyce  I had a great weekend.  We did an Easter Egg Hunt at our church Saturday and had boocoos of children.  It was fun...but you know...I'm gettin' old .  I was tired after that.  Sunday was church and then Sunday afternoon, I curled up with a good movie and just laid back in the recliner and rested.  It was a great weekend.  I hope you have a great week.  Carmen

morning! we got up and dressed and were almost to the car when my phone rang-seems michael's psychiatrist ( our reason for being up and dressed) had fallen at home yesterday and so they rescheduled --for a month from now--he was ready to tell him (dr) that he went off the meds and ask for something not so numbing--now he thinks i should have cancelled--it may get worse before it gets better --i see signs already but i am just making notes....please keep the prayers going! anyhow- so later we have PT-well he does- and then tonite i go to the DAR dinner/monthly mtg...i'm so excited to get dressed and be with human women!!!!!it'll be a warm up for pittsburgh--tho the baker's dozen will be lots more fun!!!!!!!!!!!! still doing geneaology stuff and really working not to slip back into my eating habits pre 5dpt....i'll comment on that seperately later--- well- probly stop in later to see what my peeps are up to! me- about 5'1"..........

Okay Margo - now YOU are talking about food. Specifically PEEPS.   Can you get Michael on a waiting list, in case somebody else cancels? This sounds like it is heading toward an emergency situation in the near future. You are in my thoughts and prayers. You are 5'1", and here I imagined you to be a very tall woman. Must be the strength I hear in you.

OMG annette- i walk into the DAR dinner and they have peeps on the tables!! each place had a package of 3 peeps sitting there for us---ouch!!!!!!!! and not the sugarf ree ones!!!!! i almost chuckled when i saw them!!!!

Good morning OFF Family.  Wish me well, I have to tell da boss I'll be out for 2 weeks having surgery on my thumb.  I know he's going to blow a gasket.  His trained eye sees nothing wrong with my thumb, strange how all the other doctors and even the clericals see a big red bump.  I've already told our business manager if do boss gives me any trouble I'm grabbing and dashing (grabbing my purse and dashing out the door).  I don't need any additional stress.  Yes, it's minor surgery, but it's my thumb and my pain and my...  Several have said after what I've been through this will be a piece of cake!  All I can think is I don't want to be cut on AGAIN.  I almost wish we could have done this as emergency surgery - less time to wait and worry.  I'm such a big baby, I need HUGS!   We got home from Mass yesterday to hear a message from Ethan, "Happy Easter grandpa and grandma, I LOVE YOU!  See you tomorrow."  We tried calling Gabe (other grandson), no answer.  Later our daughter called so Gabe could thank us for his package.  He was too excited about the candy, toys, candy, clothes, and candy in his package.  Ya think he has a sweet tooth?  His favorite is Peeps!  Our daughter said he was up at 7 Sat. morning ready to dye Easter eggs.  He was more wound up about the Easter Bunny coming to visit than he was at Christmas about Santa.  He didn't go to sleep Sat. night until after 10:30, and woke at 3 Sun morning wanted to go see what the Easter Bunny left in his basket.  We had to hear all about his new hamster Carly.  Talking to Gabe was the highlight of my day.  His six year old energy and enthusiam reached through the phone line and tugged at my heart!  Tonight Ethan comes to visit and spend the night!  We'll have him again this weekend - can't wait! I'd better get some work done, Debbie
