Hiya Marilyn, I just found this note. I soak them over night, poor tha****er off. I put them in a pot of water, dice some onion, and I used the ham with the bone left from Christmas, just simmer low a long time until tender. They rock, I put in a little sea salt and pepper, and a tiny tiny bit of garlic powder, they rock, I have been eating them all week...MMMMM. Laugh!

Happy Easter Linda! We're off to brunch with family -- especially to see our little grandson!  We'll see people in all sorts of dress as it's at the country club on the golf course. I'm being bad and not eating breakfast but waiting for brunch.  I slept in this morning! Brunch - I will choose egg, roast beef, and salad Dinner tonight -- will be yogurt w/berries Hugs, Kathi

Happy Easter to you Linda, We just got back from Mary and Dave's. Everybody was moaning and groaning from eating too much. I had a slice of turkey and some broccoli - MY tummy is happy. Melanie was all decked out in pink and white polka dots, pink shoes to match. Matthew was wearing a "big boy" pin-striped oxford and looked good enough to eat. He has chubby cheeks that beg to be kissed. I munched on him instead of all the food. My dress-up clothing is very limited. I decided to wear the skirt I bought for Tom's Christmas party. It is now a hip hugger and doesn't stay up very well. Guess I am in style?  It still boggles my mind to have a size 4 fall down my hips. Kind of nice after years of squeezing my Italian background into a 4X. The X was there and his usual self. He doesn't like Melanie and never hesitates to comment about her behavior. Melanie curled up on my lap and told him, " Melanie is Grandma's PRINCESS". She is smarter than him and has better manners too. Enough said or my blood pressure will soar. Kisses Annette

Happy Easter Annette. I am happy your granddaughter has you. Your ex is quite a card. Nice to wear smaller sizes huh? I am still going down and am surprised still when I put on something I have not worn i awhile and it is too big. Enjoy your evening. Hugs!

Hi Linda, Happy Easter.  I hope your Easter has been wonderful.  My family just went home and now I can relax. B: Protein shake. L:Ham, the insides of a deviled egg, green beans, half of a small boiled potato, and yes, I will admit I had a spoon of banana pudding.  I said I wasn't going to eat any, but I tried it anyway.  It tasted good, but way too sweet. D:Probably nothing, still full from the big lunch. Have a lovely evening!                         Bonnie

Hiya Bonnie, happy to hear you had a great time. My Easter was nice too. I am mellowing out now, the kids had some cookies and little bunnies, no reason for them to pig out that I can see...smile. Talk to you tomorrow...hugs.

HAPPY EASTER sweet lady!  Yes, I remember wearing a new dress, shoes, hat, and gloves for Easter.  I loved it.  My sister and I usually went to church with friends, as our mother was raised Baptist, but rarely attended church, and our father was Jewish, but didn't go to Synagogue. Our Spring Break visitors have gone home.  We had a wonderful time with our daughter, son-in-law, grandsons, and cousins.  Lots of fun and happy memories.  We sure were sad they had to leave.  It seems too quiet around here now.
