I wish....LOL.....cause I think he is so cute. Actually, some say he looks like my husband....but then they say that about all our grandchildren when they are babies....Love, Marti

HI Marti! Nolan is absolutely adorable!  Enjoy every moment you can while he's so little.  They grow so fast.  My little grandson, Nathan, is going to be two years old in just a couple of weeks.  Not a baby anymore. Hugs, Kathi

Ahhhh yes Kathi.....when they get to 18 months I love it so as they start talking to you.....or at least trying to.....I must admit it will be nicer than the babbling and screaming when he wants something that my little 16 month old grandson is going through right now. Hugs, Marti

Marti, Nolan is just as cute as a little bug. His grin is so sweet. I love the hair thing that he has going too. My girlfriends little granddaughter who was born 3 weeks ago had a little mohawk going when she was born. I am in total agreement with everyone else on the fact that Nolan is most assuradly a keeper. He is adorable. You just want to nuzzle him and give him lots of hugs and kisses. You are a lucky woman, Marti.

Aloha beautiful Marti.....OH, my.....what a little munchette!! I am so INTO babies right now, and love imagining you with this adorable little one....just soaking up the love and pouring into this new life. I love the comment my son said to me when his first son, Brocky, was born. I was holding the baby who was 10 days old and my son Mark said, "Mom, he's a blank slate." Oh, yes....these little miracles are our future.....and I hope we haven't left them with too much of a mess to clean up!

I am an optimist....I believe this tiny generation will work miracles.

Thanks for sharing, love.

Aloha nui loa,

What a lovely thought....from a lovely woman. I sincerly hope they will, but like you I'm sure we do know that parents do not intentionally screw up their children....but I see it happening right now with some of my daughter's friends......

One said the other day...."I really need to work on teaching "johnny" more compassion"...and I thought to myself....I don't think you can teach compassion....I think it needs to be learned from his parent's example....but I didn't say anything as I knew it would not make a difference....they are obsessed with possessions and a perfect home and the children are just decorations.

Another one said to Kathleen....."I am going to talk to "johnny's" teacher...I think the other kids are not treating him nice, and he doesn't have a real friend" Kathleen is always gentle..so she said "well I think it is hard when a Mom works full time....I know that Julie and I practically stand on our heads sometimes arranging play dates for James and Gavin.....but we both think this is a lifetime friendship and at 5 years old they can't do it for themselves....and I don't really think it is a teacher's job to find friends for our children. [Kathleen has a degree in Elementary Education as does this friend] they really have enough on their plates" Her friend said "well I am home everyday at 3:00" and Kathleen said "but not really, you always have many many errands to run" . This Mother also does not like to cook or mess up her kitchen so they also eat take-out food most everyday.

I believe they love their chlildren very much, but the examples they set for them are not always the best.....it is a lot of love and personal sacrafice to raise a child, and that old adage is so true for me.."Children Learn What They live"

You children obviously had a great example in you, sweet, wise and so compassionate.

Love, Marti
