To all my OFF friends who have sent me warm wishes and and condolences in the past few days I want to thank you very much. It means so much to me to have the love and support from so many people that I haven't met.
Thank You

Special thanks to Carla for the beautiful Easter Lily. Your timing was just right, I always bought my Mom one for Easter. Flowers

The next few days will be hard since the viewing doesn't start until tomorrow. The Catholic church does not do Funeral Masses during Holy Week so we have to wait until Monday for the Church service. I hated the waiting because it makes it seem like none of this is real. It did give me, my brother and sister time to get some things done that we would have had try to fit into the short hours in a day. Again, I want to thank each and every one of you for you support.

To all the gals coming to the April Get Together, I'll still be there. My Mom and I had talked alot about that weekend and she though it was really nice that we were all getting together from different parts of the country.

This is just my own personal belief... ... but I have no doubt that your Mom is looking down at you right now and smiling, her eyes filled with love. .... and she's doing great now.. better than all of us here

Marc, you're probably right. Its the ones left behind that suffer more. She must have went peacefully, her TV and radio where both on, and she was on the couch. I'm sure she didn't suffer.

I will really miss her though. Just yesterday I took my daughter out to get something to wear for the funeral and I saw someone I knew and the first thing that popped in my head was, I have to call my mom when I get home to tell her who I ran into. I know I'll be like that for a while since I spoke to her everyday.

Mary,  I think that is the hardest part of losig someone you love...not being able to talk to them anymoe.....I keep thinking about my girlfriend that died of a heart attack 2 years ago and I still think about calling and telling her something....and especially now as I always did April Fool's jokes on her......and she loved it.....they were pretty elaborate sometimes.....remember the good times and laugh and cry together....that is what she would want.....miss her but be happy.

Love, Marti

Mary: Being a non-practicing Catholic, I understand about the Catholic practices (I went to Catholic school for 12 years!) I know it must be hard waiting. I agree your mom would want you to go on with your life, to not stand still and cry. Have a good time at the GTG; wish I could be there with you, but I'll be there in spirit (I'll be cruisin' though!) Your mom sounds like a great lady.

Mary, isn't it amazing how a group of women and a man or two who have never met can be so close, and care so deeply for each other, because of a common bond like weight!  Strange to think that if not for our problem, we would not be friends. Many prayers and cyberhugs coming your way. Debbie

Mary-Your story about telling your mom something struck a chord with me. My mom and I spoke every day, we were best friends (she died 12 yrs ago when I was only 40). To this day, when something exciting (like me gonna be a grandma!), I catch thinking that there is still someone I haven't told .....................and finally..................I remember. It was mom. But then I remember.....SHE ALREADY KNEW!!!!! She was just waiting for me to find out!  We miss em forever, but always cherish the memories.  Like I said previously, I think there is a Mom's table up there where they sit and go, "Now, I just knew she was gonna do that", etc., etc.,  Hugs and Prayers Jill
