My Mom

Mary, my thoughts and prayers are with you and yours during this time. I know and understand your feelings on being with her during her passing but I learned from experience that a lot of times our loved ones wait until we are gone so that we don't have to go through it. I know that both of my parents did. I would have liked to be with them but they wanted to save me from it. Know that God was there with her and she wasn't alone. I will continue to pray that the loving God we know will keep you in the safe circle of His loving and graceful arms. May you have the peace that only He can give you, the peace that passes all understanding. Please remember that we are here for you always.

Sorry for your loss. Your mom is about the same age as mine (she will turn 84 in June). Although they seem healthy, you know that at any time, they can go. It's hard when they go that fast because you don't have time to say goodbye. At least with my dad, we knew he was terminal and were prepared for it. It's a little easier that way in that you have said your goodbyes. I don't think any way is an easy way to lose a loved one, though.  I'll bet the next few days you're going to dream about her. I dreamt about my dad after he died for several days. And sometimes, when I'm troubled, I still dream of him. It's like he's trying to help me yet.  We're all here for you.

Dear Mary, I'm so sorry for your loss.  I will say some prayers for you and yours.

I want to thank everyone for all the kind words. I was off the computer for a couple hours taking lots of phone calls. My headache from crying is finally gone. I am so tired but its going to be hard to fall asleep tonight. Me, my brother and sister have to go to the funeral home tomorrow morning at 10:30am to take care of the arrangements. I know thats going to be tough.

I was the one that had been taking care of everything for her in recent years. Its going to be hard to not reach for the phone everyday to call her.

I am grateful that she didn't have a terminal illness. She passed away watching TV sitting on her couch.

I just don't have the words right now to describe my feelings. I'm lost. I'll try to pop in over the next few days.

Thanks again everyone. Its nice to have so much love and support from people that I have met here.
