Upper endoscopy -- Anybody on now with a quick answer for me???

Hey Linda. Thanks for the info.  I know I will be fine but it just hit me that it is in the morning.  Nothing after midnight tonight.  Pretty easy preop I would say.

I've had 2 upper endoscopies and numerous colonscopies and was quite clear-headed after all of them, but they say it takes a while for the sedation to disappear from your system, so I wouldn't proof anything afterwards, just in case. Jean

Thanks for you input, Jean.  I will just wait until tomorrow and see how it affects me I think.  Maybe I will be okay.  This proofing is pretty easy stuff.

Well I had my endoscopy about a month ago and was awake and ready to go within ten minutes after it was over, but they kept me for a half hour to keep an eye on me.  My friend brought me home and that's when the "fun" began. . . I should have had some GasX or something because between reading emails I made numerous trips to the bathroom.  "Your mileage may vary!" Marti

Today was my colonoscopy and I have to say I was awake 10 minutes after the procedure and fully prepared to function.  In fact, I was thinking I would have been fine to go back to my desk job. I really think you should be fine.  It's going quickly for you now and that's great! Hugs, Kathi

Kathi, So glad your colonoscopy went easy.  Actually, the prep is the bad part!!  And, yes, the time is really passing quickly.  I have so much going on this last 2 weeks and 3 days that I am going to meet myself coming and going!  LOL
