Aloha Boo....How fun reading all the input from all over our country!

I'm your sister from Hawaii.....the middle of the Pacific.....and 3000 miles from the mainland!! Maui is a beautiful place to live, and I'm thankful every day. This is a place where I AM in the minority, and have had to learn to respect the locals and the land. They say this island "accepts or rejects you" depending on how you treat her. I believe it.

I LOVE the pidgin that is spoken here often by the local Hawaiians. We had one gigantic (400+) Hawaiian man in our support group (who now weighs 225) who said it in pidgen so well when I told the story of my 2nd grandbaby being born. 1st grandbaby was Brock, 2nd was Brady. My Hawaiian friend said to me "I could write song bout dem bruddas......it would be BIG BRUDDA BROCK AND BITTA BRUDDA BRADY!" LOL! That's pidgin!!

Hi Again Boo, This was a nice thing and it seems to have brought everyone out of the woodwork, with a few exceptions of people I know and since I'm a relative short-termer on this board, where is Wanda (Stardiver), Cheryl, Birdie, Lora13, Mary (our Pittsburgh gals), Marti & Arlene? Hi!!!!!!!  I'm Janet from Toronto, Canada and it is still cold and snowing here. I was born in England. I can see the CN Tower from the end of my street, and live less than 2 hours from Niagara Falls, and New York State!!!!!!!!!!. I haven't had surgery yet, still waiting for the insurance OK.

Hello every one, I accidently deleted the message I posted so I will try again. I am from Southern West Virginia I live in a small town called Logan.   The hills here are  pretty now but in spring and summer they are beautiful my favorite time to look at our hills is in the fall all the different colors is just beautiful

Hi Maryann, Good morning, I am KathiM. from Enfield CT. I  post every once in a while but read the posts from everyone every day all day. I have been to Springfield just this past weekend, I babysat for my older brother's grandaughter. He lives of Parker Street. I have also been to the basketball hall of fame. Maybe someday we can meet for lunch or breakfast. I don't eat much right now as I am only 6 months out but had several complications along the way. Eat mostly soft things or liquids. But I am doing well so far have lost 120lbs. Enjoy your day. KathiM
