ALMOST APRIL 4TH I AM COUNTING THE DAYS OFF  SEE YOU THEN  BOO

Hello ya'all!  I'm Patti, from beautiful downtown Hopkins (Minnesota), a quaint small southwestern Minneapolis suburb (pop. 17,000)!  Was born and raised in a small farming community (pop. 562) in north central Minnesota.  Spent five years at Bemidji State University, just miles from the Canada border.  Post-college, I've lived in various southwest suburbs of the Twin Cities. Good ol'  Minnesota!  Yah, fer shur, 'ya betcha! Land of two seasons:  Winter and Road Work!  Our unofficial state bird:  the Mosquito ('bite me!'). We've been having schizophrenic spring weather:  Dark gray skies with twenty degrees and six inches of snow one day, then sunny, balmy upper thirties the next day, causing much slush and mush on roads and sidewalks!  Regardless, I love the four seasons' variety!  Don't love the proverbial state complaints about the weather;  nearly every single day someone can be heard complaining about the weather, and I recall Mark Twain's comment about New England weather: 'if you don't like it, stick around, and it will change!'   It's supposed to hit 50 next week;  glad I got out  some shorts and t-shirts two weeks ago when it warmed up to 38 degrees!  However, it does get hot here!  Potentially May through September, it could be upper 70s, even getting 98% humidity and 90-some degrees especially in June, July, and August!  Thank you for hopping on, and hope you enjoyed your home-grown tour!  Ya'all come back real saloon!  Hugs galore, Patti

Well, I can't let this continue without me on board ! Hi MaryAnn,     We're neighbors - sorta.... I'm Joyce S. and I'm out here on this big old sand bar called Cape Cod.  I moved here to Dennis,in July of '04 and I love it ! I lived all my life in Wisconsin until I met and married my dear husband John. He also had wls 6 weeks after me, same dr + same hospital, etc.   I wanted to go to Pittsburgh but we're leaving that same weekend for our 2 weeks vacation in South Carolina.... maybe later we can hook up !  I just had to tell you - the very first secret pal drawing I was involved with ( Jeannie M ran it ) I drew your name and then the drawing was re done right after , as it had gotten messed up when a bunch of folks found out who gotten whom....
