Thanks for the welcome.  Glad to know i am normal lol.  I don't have enough energy to walk to the mail box. I get short of breath and that scares me.  I just called my surgeon to find out if there is any progress in getting my approval and they are suppose to call me back.  I can't wait to have the energy that you have and to feel normal again.  I have felt bad for so long I really could not tell you what it is like to feel normal.   Thanks for everything.    Sharon

You are welcome.  Before WLS, I blamed my lack of energy on my age.  Now, I know it was really the extra pounds I was toting around all day.  I know what you mean about not knowing what normal is.  I don't take the little things for granted anymore.  Good luck.  I hope you get an answer soon.  I think the waiting can be the worst part of the whole process.

Sharon, Did you get my private message? They are located at the top of the page...where it says wvgirl54, you have messages. Just wondering. I've been thinking about you and hope all is going well. We've all been where you are right now and it does get better! Dianne from FL

With the DS: there is no stoma, so no stoma strictures; there are no limitations (other than volume) against drinking before, during or after meals; 80% of ingested fat is malabsorbed; 98.9% of type II diabetics are CURED of this devastating disease, with data showing stable cure over 10 years out; there is the best average weight loss and most durable (average 76% excess weight loss going out 10 years) of all of the bariatric surgeries.  That's why I had a DS!
