DOING BACKFLIPS....quietly yelling at 2:30 a.m.!!!
Aloha and good very early morning (on Maui) my OFF family!
OMIGOD, IT HAS HAPPENED!! I AM AT GOAL!! I'm up so so early to get to the hospital at 5:00 a.m. for another day of training, and sort of ho hum got on scale expecting same ole 176,178, 179.......and it said 175 on TWO DIFFERENT SCALES!!!!
I was so excited that I shook the sugarfree hazelnut coffee creamer container with the lid open and got that stuff all over my kitchen!! LOL
For the new people in here, I just want to say that almost exactly a year and half ago, I was 319 pounds and FAT, clumsy, self conscious, confined to certain places because I was afraid of not fitting into chairs, booths, theater seats, etc. And now, at goal, I feel like a different person....I honestly do. This WLS has been the freeing of a body to LIVE life again fully. Also, the freeing of a mind and soul to reach out again to people, and to do things only dreamed about before. I'm still getting used to the person I see in the mirror....she is like a newborn (ha..funny, huh!). Very ironic that I'm feeling newly born and I'm working with newborns. Even that job, I never would have dreamed of applying for at 319 lbs.. I would have not fit into the tiny office I will have and I would definitely have been uncomfortable around all the busy hospital people.
I am just filled with joy this morning, and who else would I share that with first but you all. WLS has been a gift, but I think my OFF family can even top that. Thank you all so much for being there and for making this journey fun, and heart warming, and interesting from so many different viewpoints.
Now, I'm going to settle down and begin my day. Off to the hospital at 4:30. I think maybe these early hours, and different schedule might have gotten me to goal, eh?!!

YAY! Good for you!
Now go buy yourself a hot new outfit to celebrate!

Aloha Connie and thank you so much. You are right on my tail...look at YOUR ticker!!
No matter where we are on this journey, there is someone who can benefit from hearing what we are doing, and how we are doing it. I can't tell you how much help I've gotten from OFF...I don't think I could have done it without all of yoou.
Aloha nui loa,

Karen,
How wonderful that you have achieved your goal and that the rest of your life seems to be filling in too! Simply amazing and I hope to follow in your footsteps eventually. Hope your entire day was full of the joy you had when you got up this morning!
