I have just started Weight Loss Surgery journey and after speaking with the Psychologist, would like to get paired up with a Therapist to talk to throughout my journey. I was wondering if anyone can recommend a Therapist that has experience with Obesity or Weight Loss Surgery clients?
I'm in the Portland area.
Also looking for a Support Group to attend. According to the Legacy Weight and Diabetes website, the only Bariatric Surgery support group they have is the 4th Wednesday of every month from 6pm. Unfortunately, that is the one day during the week I cannot go. Does anyone else have schedules for other support groups?

Hi, My name is Pattie and I live in Bend, Oregon. I am Pre-Op and I'm having my Colonoscopy tomorrow. I am fasting right now. I will also be having part of my colon taken out on May 13, due to my Diverticulitis. I will be in the hospital for about 3 days. My RNY is scheduled for the end of July. I would love to talk with anyone that has gone through the process or even someone else in Oregon that has not yet had the surgery. I would have the Sleeve, however, my insurance will only pay for the RNY. Pattie

I also live in Oregon! I'm still trying to get approval to get surgery. I live in Keizer, so will have mine done in Salem. I'm in the process of changing insurances. Just get frustrated with the process.
i am in Klamath Falls, having my Sleeve done 4/14 in Medford. I have only met RNYers personally and not in KFalls. Anyone who sleeved living here? Would love to start a support group here or something.

Im not local but I am north of you in Aloha. I just got my surgery date of June 10th today. I work for the school district so I had to wait til as close to the end of the school year as I could. I am having the Roux en y at OHSU. Im around if you ever wanna chit chat or exchange stories :)
