Excellent! Did you get approved through insurance? If so, which one do you have?

Received a call from Dr Zegsula's office at Good Sam today. I am approved for plastic surgery. December 21 or January 4 depending on the hospital schedule. I am so jazzed!

Topic: RE: Post Sleeve support

Post this on the sleeve forum and you'll get more responses, I think I have read tho that there is a lull at 2-3 mos for most sleevers. Hang in there it'll get better!

Had the sleeve in Mexico september 2010. Lost 30 pounds in one month pre surgery and 35 in 2 months post surgery. Had hoped for weight loss to maintain the firts months losses. Still eating 4oz meals and 2oz snacks. Is this going slow or is the slower loss especially the second month after surgery normal.

I agree with the above poster... anything but Kaiser. I have never heard of Lifewise, but my parents have been happy with Providence.

Topic: Support Group in the Willamette Valley
Hi All.  I am looking for a support group in the Valley.  Corvallis, Albany area preferred but am willing to go to Salem or Eugene.  Any suggestions?  I had my surgery done in April 2009.  I need some additional support.

Topic: RE: Lap Band Support Groups
There is a support group (mixed band and RNY) at Southwest Washington Medical Center in Vancouver across the river from Portland. I don't have the exact info on hand but if you go to SWmedicalcenter.com and look under bariatric info it should give you a phone number to call to get info.  If you can't find it PM me and I'll see if I can pull it up for you. It's a good group and very active.

Hi, I am waiting to have my lapband surgery.. scheduled in two weeks.  I am excited about it and would love to converse about it.

I am interested in knowing how much discomfort to expect after surgery.. and how nauseous were you the week after?

I am on the eastside of Portland.. not too close..
