My insurance only paid for tummy tuck. Nothing involving muscle. One night in the hospital. If what I saw on the insurance site the total cost was about $25,000. I paid nothing!'

I have heard of him but didn't know anyone who had seen him. Could I ask if part of your procedures involved the lower body lift or total lift? Most plastic surgeons are experienced in TT, BL/BA and facelifts but it seems few have experience doing body lifts. In addition to being satisfied with his work, were you comfortable with his fee schedule? Did you have to stay in the hospital? Thanks for any information. Sharon

Dr Zegzula at Portland Plastic Surgery. He is upstairs from Oregon Weight Loss Surgery & works with many of their successes. 503-288-9646. I had plastics in December, he came highly recommended & am so glad I listened.

Wow! 381 pounds total!! That's fantastic! Maybe I'll run into you at one of the meetings. I'm trying to do the Tuesday evening one due to scheduling conflicts. Congrats again to you and your co-workers. Sounds like you are all doing an awesome job!!

Thanks for the kind words. I just had my 4-month surgiversary and am thrilled with the results. My insurance company only covered one WLS clinic in my current state and, from what I've seen, they have the best results. Four co-workers went through RNY in 2010 and so far we've lost a combined total weight of 381 lbs. One of the guys reached his goal weight in 6 months. The rest of us are hoping to follow his example.

Our WLS clinic has a strict post-op diet that I'm still following. But, they also stress the importance of groups. That's one of the reasons I was looking for a group in Portland. Not sure I'm ready to "go solo" yet.
