Lodging in Portland??

I am coming to Portland next week for my two days of testing and I am looking for a motel that is inexpensive but not scary. Does anyone know of anything?

I stayed at a Red Lion when I had surgery because they gave discounts to people in town for surgery. There is one across from the convention Center - call 503 235-2100 and ask if they too have the discount. They also have free internet service during your stay.
