APPROVED!!!!!! Wowweeee, I'm nervous!!!

Hi everyone! Just wanted to let everyone know that BC/BS (Pebb) approved me for RNY ... I'm scheduled for May 9th with Dr. Hong. I am SO scared, nervous, excited, and elated all wrapped up into one! Deanna

Congratulations! I'm scheduled for surgery on May 8th. I'm in the process of telling my sister and she isnt accepting the information very well. I, too, am excited. I finally decided that it is time for me. The very best to you!!

Hi Deanna, congratulations! I'm a newbie and was wondering if you had a hard time getting approval with BC/BS? My policy says 12 months medically supervised weight loss as condition of approval. My Dr. says I meet all the other requirements. Any words of wisdom for me? MaryKelly

Hi Mary! I'm not sure what BC/BS plan you have ... mine is through PEBB. They didn't require that lengthy of a medically supervised diet on my plan but I had to lose 5% of my weight. Once the paperwork was submitted, it took them one week to approve me. But Legacy did most of the communicating with them, which made the whole process a whole lot easier! Good luck to you!
