Kaiser pre-op tests

I have Kaiser Permanente insurance, what kind of pre-op tests do they do before surgery? I am awaiting an appt. to see the surgeon for the 1st time. I have lost close to 150 lbs give or take 1 or 2 lbs. Peggy

Peggy, From what I can remember, there was an EKG and blood work. I'm not sure what the blood work was for but they give you a list of the tests that they are going to be doing. Keep up the great work!! Jody

I think I have completed all of the tests. When I went to visit the doctor on Friday I had more blood tests including a blood gases test. I had an EKG also. I had failed to do the stool sample so had to complete that. Make sure everything is up to date, including your mammogram, etc. They are very thorough and missing just one item could slow you down.
