New and wondering about Asante in Medford?

I posted earlier about insurance and forgot to ask in that post if anyone knows much about the surgery center in Medford, which surgeon, etc. I am going to a seminar on 4-20 and they said one of their four surgeons will be there. I haven't been referred yet, but don't think I'll have a problem with my PCP, it's my insurance that is the biggest concern. Thanks for any info! Kim

Hi Kim! I've talked to you before. That's who did my surgery, love them! One of the things that stand out to me is that I seemed to know everything about possible outcomes afterwards. They really want you to know what you're doing and I didn't even know at the time how beneficial that was. Kathleen is very helpful, anything you need.....she also knows a lot about getting people approved. She'll really work hard for you. I feel so fortunate that I had them! Also, there is a support group in Grants Pass, you are welcome to come. The next one is the first Tuesday in April. If you are interested, I can give you specifics. You can hear what people are saying about their experiences, most of the people probably had surgery in Medford but definitely not all! There's also kind of the same support group that meets in Medford on a different night. ~ Erika ~

Hi Erika! Yes, you answered my email a couple of weeks ago. We were out of town on vacation and I was using my husbands laptop (he never goes anywhere without it) so I had to keep my computer time down. Then, when we got home, there was no record of your email on my home computer, so I'm so glad you found me! Yes, I would really like to know about the GP support group and maybe go to this next one. Are there many Pre-ops there? My husband and I are both seriously considering this as our last option, we have exhausted all other diets, pills, programs, etc...Also, could you tell me if there are any men in the group that come?
