Southern Oregon WLS friendly insurance?

Hi everyone... Anyone have any suggestions on WLS friendly coverage for Southern Oregon?? I've got PacificSource now and they are notorious for denying even after appeals and legal action...Help!

Hi Kim. PacificSource is notorious for denying coverage. I've been doing a lot of research on the subject. I also spoke with Pacific Care / United Health Care (they recently merged) and they also have a written exclusion for WLS. I found a posting through google and checked out Regence BC/BS of Oregon. Their posting says basically that after April 1, 2006 they will start covering medically necessary bariatric surgery if you meet certain qualifications. You might want to look into them a little more. Hope this helps. Rebecca
