Kaiser patients who had the RNY and your experiences.

I need to hear from someone who has had the RNY at Kaiser. What were your experiences post op? Would you do it again?

hello!!! After a loss of 230 lbs, YES!!! There is a lot of support from members before and after the surgery.. I would do it again in a heartbeat!! I was back to a desk job in two weeks. I took more time off for my tummy tuck!!! Good luck to you... Sarah G

Wow thanks Sarah! I have over 200 lbs to lose also. I just got such a barage of emails this weekend telling me they wouldn't have surgery any where they couldn't choose their own surgery. Was your tummy tuck covered by insurance or did you have to self pay? Sorry I just have all these questions. Your the first Kaiser patient I heard from. I just got my first application from Kaiser today. I gurantee it will back in tomorrow's mail. Thanks, Sarah

I "would" have had Kaiser do it... if they would have allowed it. But it all worked out good in the end. I would do WLS again in a heartbeat also. It has saved my life. Hugs Angel J LOS
