Lifewise Lapband?

maybe this should go into a different forum, and if so, please direct me! I have seen a couple mentions of folks having trouble getting Lifewise to pay for WLS. However my doc (PCP) says she's helped people get approved before. I'm sure it makes a big difference what plan a person has, but do I really have an awful battle to look forward to? without insurance picking up the tab, WLS is not an option for me. Still getting started, have my first info session next Wednesday, so any help is appreciated. Thanks, Jenn

Hi Jenn, Be prepared to jump through hoops. They will have you take all kinds of tests and you will have to comply to many things that seem unreasonable... but it depends on your insurance ... be glad its not Kaiser you may actually succeed! Good luck to you! Fight a good fight! Angel J

Jen, Im so sorry about the exclusion, dont let it stop your dreams. If you can finance a car you can finance surgery. I got my band for under $13,000 and even tho I had to take out a second on our home to do it, it has been worth every penny. Hang in there Gail
