Welcome First Timers & Newbies!
I was looking over some of the older posts, and someone mentioned that it was the first time that he had posted here. If this is your first time looking at the Oregon board, I hope you will come back again and again. We would love to have you post so that we can get to know you better.
I have a couple of Questions of the Day:
1. How did you find this Board?
2. What do you hope to get out of coming back here?
3. What do people think is the most interesting thing about you?
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Here are my answers:
1. I had surgery and needed a support system since I felt like I was the only one who had been through this kind of surgery. I just lucked out and found this Board.
2. I needed support, and I also needed answers to questions. However, what kept me coming back was that I found a bunch of people who were similar to me. They had fought being heavy all their lives and were hungering to be free from obesity so that they could live their lives to the fullest.
3. What most people think is interesting about me is how optimistic I am and also that I am interested in THEM.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++=
Those are my answers. I hope you post so that we can get to know each other better.
Peg
Hi, Peg!
Thanks for the warm welcome to us newbie's
1. I was referred to this website by a co-worker. She's about a month behind me in the process (her surgery is this Tuesday). When I got here, I searched around and found this board!
2. There are a few reasons I come back. Because I'm post-op, I hope to offer support and information to other current or future wls patients. On the flip side, I look for support and information from others so that I can be as successful as possible.
3. Wow, that's a toughie! I would say that I am an avid dog lover--almost obnoxiously addicted to my dog, Max (he's a Great Dane). I've been accused of loving him more than my children
Thanks!
Charity
