Paying for surery when insurance won't cover it

Hi all, I am considering bypass surgery, but have already been told my my insurance company that they won't cover it, so I'm trying to figure out how to pay for it on my own- has anyone else gone through this and does anyone have suggestions? Are there any credit companies, or organizations that offer loans for surgery? Thanks for any help you can give me! -k

I went to Mexico - great doctor - Dr. Alejandro Aguirre in Ensenada. Loved him and excellent results/excellent care. I paid $8500 but I understand it's gone up. You can check my profile for more or check the South of the Border message board for more info. Dina
