HI NANCY, Welcome to your new journey. I myself am seing Jay Jan who is another surgeon who works along side Emma Patterson. I think maybe you should contact their finacial department and let them know what your paticular situation is. I believe that once you have a consult they do a more detailed review of what a more or less charge would be for your paticular case. There are alot of factors that come into play. I think this would be your best option for being self pay. I also know that Legacy does the billing for them so the information may not be directly in front of them. Good luck on your journey!

Ya know Nancy you aren't alone, there are alot of people right here on this sight that support your decision. I would check where you are at locally to see if there are any support groups that you could start attending. You would be surprized at how many people there are out there just like you and I. Let me know if there is anything else I could help with.

Nancy I just called the Legacy clinic there in Portland and they quoted me $22,000 for the band, I was looking for a friend. I got my band placed a year ago by Dr. Tersigni at the North Bend Bariatric clinic and he is $12,500 including everything plus 1 year of appointments and 3 adjustments. If you want his number or more info just email me I'd be glad to share the information. I love my band ! I've had it a year now and have gone from a size 20-22 to a size 8-10 Come join us on the Lab band forum too, you can learn so much there. Good luck ! Gail 213/144/130
