60 pounds gone!
Hi All!
Just thought I would update my profile and put a new picture up (not a very good one). I have lost 60 pounds since June and I am feeling great! I am so glad I had the surgery and look forward to releasing the last 30 pounds.
I had to remove my wedding rings, for now and I need some clothes, but life is good! I have been tempted by some unhealthy foods, but I just remember to think about how long the yummy taste lasts in my mouth compared to how long the wonderful feelings of being thinner last! There is no comparison!
Have a great weekend!

Joy,
That is just wonderful! It really does seem like you were just working on getting the surgery before you started to pack up to move. How could surgery, a move, and sixty pounds all have happened since June?!? You are so far along already - you will make it to goal during that "honeymoon" phase I predict. Your husband will be busy putting new outfits under the tree this Christmas (not that my husband has bought me one thing to wear in the twenty five years I have known him!). Gee, now that you guys are retired you don't have that work X-mas party to get a real fabulous outfit for. I only think of that because that was the event I absolutely dreaded when I was 325 pounds, and enjoyed so much that first X-mas when I was able to buy a pretty dress and wasn't the biggest person in the room. I assure you there will much better events to find and get dressed up for - retirement rocks! We can't wait!

Hi Patty!
Nice to hear from you. Yes, the last few months have been like a whirlwind! So many changes in such a short period of time. Thanks for the sweet compliment. I still have a way to go with my weight, but I feel terrific!
HAH! My husband has never bought me anything to wear either! Maybe that's a good thing? Joe has been wonderful though. He is constantly complimenting me and making remarks about how slim I am becoming. He married me at my higher weight, so he doesn't know me this way. I think he likes it!
I think we should both do some Christmas dress shopping sometime. HMMM?
Thanks,
Joy
