You can also die by walking across the street or choking on a piece of meat. Or a heart attack due to your weight. When the good Lord calls you home there is nothing you can do. But your chances of dying are greater without the surgery. I too had taken off and put back on more than I lost for years. That's supposed to be very bad for your body and heart. I knew that without it my life would be shortened. I was 270, diabetes, high blood pressure, sleep apnea, and aching knees. Now after less than 3 months I am down to 210, no more diabetes, high blood pressure, sleep apnea, and my knees are feeling a whole lot better. I went from a size 42 to a 34 waist. Wearing clothes I haven't worn since the early 80's. Life is worth the risk. Go for it! You may be a little apprehensive now, but the results will be well worth it, take our word for it. Jer

Hi David, I know exactly how you feel.....we all have felt this way. You may want to read my profile. I had Dr. Patterson but had met first with Dr. Hong. He is a great surgeon, I have a few new friends that he did their surgeries and they are extremely happy. If you have any questions feel free to email me anytime........I was a size 20 and now a year later I am a size 0 (never knew there was such a size) my only regret is I didn't do this 10-15 years ago....because life is great because of this surgery. I wish the best and don't worry follow your Dr.'s instructions and lean on friends here.....Hugs, NadineM-Vancouver WA 213/109 (now)
