Post Op Testing at Home?

I live far away from Portland (Eugene) and wonder if I can get the same tests done through my very supportive PCP here in Eugene. A dietician is a good thing, too. I probably should call Dr. Patterson's office, but would like an objective opinion on this. I am three months out and experiencing no problems whatsoever. Anyone?

what tests? Blood tests? I had my surgery done in Coos Bay and live in the Portland area. I go to my regular Dr. to have the blood work done. They then FAX the results to North Bend Medical Center and my surgeon there so I don't have to drive down there.

I am 1 year post op, Dr. Patterson is my surgeon, I get all of my blood work done through my PCP. If you have a PCP that is supportive and knowledgable on WLS then I figure why not, my PCP sends Dr. Patterson my results and if she feels there is a problem she calls me. If you have anymore questions please feel free to email me anytime. Take care! Trisha

Yup - my surgeon is in Mexico so I have no choice. The PCP's just need to know what to run, but most have no issues with running the tests... Dina
