I REACHED MY GOAL!!!! NEW PICTURES

Dear Friends I wanted to let you know that I have reached my weight loss goal as of 8/29/05 when I went to my support meeting. I now weigh 165 lbs which is a total loss of 383 lbs. I would like to thank each of you for all of your prayers and words of encouragement. I could never have done this with out the help of friends and family and prayers. I thank God everyday for my surgery and my surgeon Dr. Eric Bour and his wonderful and caring staff. A very BIG thank you goes to my wonderful wife Alice who has been through as much as I have these last 16 months. I am hoping that I will be able to have some excess skin removed the first of next year. Please keep me in your prayers as I move to this next adventure and continue to work everyday to keep my weight off. Please check out my profile. I have added new pictures. WOO-HOO!!!! CONGRATULATIONS TERRY!!! You look great, and feel equally as fine I am sure. I feel so much better now, I am down 113lbs, I never really actually set a goal, just where ever I feel comfortable. Keep Smiling. Tracy....

Holy Cow!! That's a big weight drop! I don't know of the before, but you really rock now! I hope you don't mind my inquiring , er, mind, but as you have been there, exactly how much extra skin is there? I imagine under the arms and belly. I also figure the more you weigh before the weight loss, the more skin there will be. Does all that skin cause extra health problems? How long did it take to drop that 383 pounds? I think the slower the weight comes off, the less extra skin there will be. But we have lost alot of our skin elasticity with age so who knows. I guess i'm wondering if a skin removal after such a large weight loss is more a necessity than a cosmetic reason. Jerry
