My Jeremy I have a date for 8-26-2005 and I am 6'0 380 and i am trying to find someone to talk to. I am really scared I dont know what to doI just would like it to be 8-30-2005 just to be on the other side...

Hi Jeremy, I am sorry I didnt find your post earlier! I was scared too before my surgery. Have you been going to any type of support group? What is worrying you so much? The actual surgery? The weight loss? Sarah

There's really not that much to it. I was spprehensive, but not really scared. My surgeon had done over 700 RNY's so I had confidence in him. They wheeled me into the operation room after giving me a tranquilizer 1st to calm me down. Then the nurse slipped me a mickey via the IV line. Next thing I remember is that I was back in my room. The hard part is after it is over. A little pain for a few days, and then the liquid diet of protein drinks for 4 weeks. So take it easy. It's normal to be a bit nervous. Jerry

Jeremy: I am one year out as of the 24th of August. I think most of us were a little nervous which is normal. Honestly, though, I was more nervous about all my health problems. You didn't mention if you had any of that going on and I didn't take the time to read your profile if you have one. I have 247 before surgery and I weighed in this morning (I weigh every Monday) at 153. My goal is to lose 100 pounds. The doctor didn't think I would lose more than 75, but I fooled him--happily. Jeremiah ((((hugs)))) hey... I'm gonna be right there with ya man! No worries! My surgery with Dr. Jan is at 0730 on Friday. What time is yours? I think that you're before me? I was told that their were only two of us having this surgery on Friday and I figured out it was you and me. You know what, I'm not gonna lie to you... I'm freakin' out just a bit too... but I am also excited and know that this is the right road for me. I didn't just spend 6 months of appointments for nuttin'! Everything is going to be fine... really it will. I'm not liking this liquid diet thingy right now though... but I know it will help the Dr.'s move around in there. Do you have someone going to the Hospital with you? I will be there ok. If I don't see you before surgery... I will come lookin' for ya afterwards when I do my walkin'!
