Taste Change

I am pre-op. After reading a number of posts, I am seeing that your taste changes. Is this true? Barb

This is true, but I believe it is only temporary. At 1st nothing tasted as it did . After a little over 2 weeks, my taste buds have somewhat recovered, an things are getting their old taste back . Some things are still not up to par, but given a little more time i think it will iron out . Jerry

Hi Barb, I am two weeks post op and I think for me it is more a lack of appitite. Nothing sounds good so I force myself to eat just a little. Even though thinking about it makes me gag. I am going up to see my doctor on Monday, I will let you know what he says about this. I have lost about 13 lbs since surgery! So I am pretty happy.
