I got a date

I got a date AUG 26 with Dr JAN i am so happy it took united health care 3days for the ok but a two week to let me know it was ok. is the any one from oregon

Jeremiah! Congratulations!!! Dr. Jan will also be my Doctor too. I also have United HealthCare as well. This last Monday I went and met Dr. Jan. I told him that I have been approved since last April and told him that I am anxious to get a date. He said, ok lets see what we can do. So we went to the front desk and the girl there said...oh no, we can't get you a date today...first Dr. jan has to fill out a transcript, then we send that to billing and they contact United HealthCare and then it goes back to billing and then to us and then we contact you with a date. I was sooooo mad about this because like I said, I'm already approved! So just a few minutes ago, I called United and asked them if they have received anything from Good Sams and she said no...nothing. She said that they are probably making sure that they dot their i's. Oh what a mess! How long should I wait for them to contact me? And how quick was it after you saw Dr. Jan before getting a date? I am so happy for you!! Sorry for spilling my woes! ~Melody~

Ok.... I can answer that. I'm glad sometimes that I have no patients! This is why.... Friday I wrote the above post and I was sitting here thinking... this whole thing doesn't sound right so... I called Dr. Jans billing department. She said, you have to See the Dr. first...I said, I did, on Monday. She said, well we have to wait for your approval, I said, I have one....since last April. She asked me to fax the letter to her. I did. She called me 45 minutes later and said that I am ready to be scheduled for surgery! She said that it was a good thing that I called and was persistant because I would've been waiting ANOTHER 4-6 weeks! I guess the problem was that my situation was backwards. Usually you go through everything and then you wait for your approval. Well I got mine before anything else. Today is Monday and I am waiting for the office to open so I can get my date...ok...just got off the phone! Next available surgery date is August 26th! Hey whatta ya know about that? She is calling me later to confirm. ~Melody~

Yeah that sounds great! Talk about ready! Meeee toooo! Sherry from Dr. Jans office is SUPPOSE to call me with the details. Man she is a flake. I don't like to say things like that but yesterday when I talked to her she asked me if she could take down my number and call me tomorrow because she was in the middle of training someone at the front desk! I think someone needs to train her! She needs skills! Have you had any issues with getting the things/info that you need from her? Should I be talking to someone else? Just curious..... I'll let you know what time I will be there as soon as find out Maybe we'll be roomies! Yeah for us! This is so exciting. ~Melody~

Congrats on the date! My experience w/UHC has been great. I was submitted and approved in less than a week. Now, I'm working toward approval for my plastics...I hear it may be a tougher battle. Best of luck to you! Michele

I know it was all most to easy to be true. so if any one this dont go work at Tmoblie and surgery done at little or no cost to you United health care rocks

so did not mean to send that above.......I ment I have united health care and work at tmoblie and it covers all of my surgery only out of pocket was 300. that with co pays and all. so if you want it done get a job there it is so true.........good luck to all
