I'm from Oregon! New to this board:)

Hello everyone and good morning! This is my first appearance on the Oregon board. I am new at this and have just been hangin' out with the Main Board people. I am glad this board is here... You think YOUR board is slow, you should check out Idaho's. Hardly ever anything on it!.

Melody - It's a slow board....most of us check it once a day. Don't get your feelings hurt and please do check back in with us. We're slow because we don't have enough people checking it. I'm out of town so can't spend much time on here until I get home in a few days, so I won't be replying to any posts for awhile. Dina

Hi Melody!! Hey we have something in common..our last name! Have you had your surgery yet or are you pre op? I am having my surgery Aug 2. I live in Cave Junction and have to go all the way to Portland for my surgery! Oh well, if the gas prices are going to be so high, might as well use the gas for something useful, right? Welcome to the Oregon Board you will love the people on this board they are great and very knowledgeable. Great to have you here!!

Thank you everyone for welcoming me! I hope everyone had a good weekend? Mine was pretty uneventful & restful I added a few more pictures to my profile out of boredom. Did get some news today! Christy Powers from the Obesity Clinic here at Good Sams called me and said that my last Sleep Study results were in and she is faxing a prescription for me over to the Sleep Clinic for a C Pap machine....and...Cammie will be calling me tomorrow about taking the Pre-Op Class on Wednesday and....she said that the Surgeons office will be calling me within the next few days to schedule me a an appointment with the Surgeon!!!!! Yeah!!!! I don't know if I am going to Dr. Hong or Dr. Patterson. Who was your surgeon? Any + or - 's you'd like to share? I will keep you posted & thanks for the 'hellos' ~Melody~

Hi Melody, welcome. I had Dr. Hong for my surgeon and I liked him a lot and I would highly recommend him. He has a nice "bedside manner" and he did a really good job with the surgery and follow up. I see him on August 17th for my one year check up and then I likely won't have to see him again for a long time. I hear Dr. Patterson is equally as good a surgeon (she is senior to Dr. Hong), and she was going to be my surgeon, but Dr. Hong had an opening sooner than Dr. P. I think either one of them would be very good. Good luck in making your decision. Pam
