OR: Best Tasting Protein Powder Opinions?
Please, please, I am new at this and need a protein powder that tastes great! Did someone say something about Walmart?
By the way, not sure if anyone cares, I had my RNY on Weds. and cannot believe how great I feel. Dr. Patterson in Portland at Legacy Good Samaritan and they treated me royally. Unbelievably good experience! I am sooo happy.
So is my family.

Hi Rose,
Congratulations on a successful surgery!!
Welcome to the losing side.
As for protein - I have ordered trial sizes online from Vitalady.com than I narrowed it down to the one I liked best. I then ordered that from Wholesalesupplementstore.com who had the best price and fast delivery.
Keep on updating your results on your profile so we can enjoy your successes.

Congratulations Rose - glad you are feeling good!
2 suggestions for protein: For whey protein powder, I've found none better than Unjury. You can get it at www.unjury.com.
The easiest protein to get down is the gelatin protein from Protidiet. It is as refreshing as Crystal Light. It is akin to when you drink a cup of hot jello, only you can have it cold and with ice. There are several flavors and I get mine at south coast physical therapy in Brookings. I don't have their number right here right now, but you can Google it. I am sure there are other places to get it, but I know of no resources in Medford, so I just get it there.
Hope that helps - continue feeling well!
Dina
Of course we care! I love hearing about new post-ops beginning the journey.
I only used protein drinks/powders in the first three months. I get all my protein from regular meals now. I am very unwilling/unable to drink or eat anything that has that protein supplement flavor. I found myself most able to enjoy the Any-Whey "tasteless" protein powder from GNC. I found that chocolate drinks were actually pretty darn good, whereas the vanilla had that yucky protein taste.
Don't quote me on whatever the carb/sugar type qualities of the following may be, but for the first month I drank a lot of the following. It got me close to fifty grams of protein. I would make it in the morning and keep it in the fridge. It made about 8-10 oz. so I would drink 3-4 oz. servings of it at a time. I knew as long as I finished it by the end of the day at least I got in a good protein serving. In blender....1 can of HP Boost (chocolate), two-three TBSP non-fat plain yogurt, one scoop of the Any-Whey protein powder, 1/2 cup mil****
