4 years out...need help...very lonely

Just moved to Bend 6 months ago. I was doing so well. Feeling very lonely. Can't seem to find any REAL friends here. I have always been positive...maybe its because I am no longer near all of my Fresno Tempus guys...I don't know. I can't seem to get back into walking like I was before (religious about it)...I don't know what to do...everyone I have met thus far in my neighborhood are from CA but I cannot seem to connect. Does anyone know someone in Bend that had had the surgery or thinking about it?

Hi Kathy, Welcome to Oregon!! I sure hope you find a buddy fast. I know I would be depressed to move from my friends. I Love Bend. Husband and I own property around Chemult,which is south of Bend,past Lapine. We really like the climate there. Keep looking for a support group,call the local Medical Center,any wls offices see if they have a group going. I work at the Medical Center here in Springfield and we have a group of people who get together and walk. It's put together by our Employee Health Nurse. So when you call the local M.C there in Bend ask to talk with their H. Nurse,maybe she would have some info for you. I don't know anyone who has wls in Bend. I sure wish I could help you. Good Luck..
